    Adirondack Rail Trail is now open from Lake Placid to Saranac Lake, with the second section to Floodwood opening

    in late summer !  Traverse Lodge is located only 0.3 miles from the Trail at Fowler's Crossing on NYS Route 86, or

    via access over the Village paved trail from Will Rogers Drive just across the road.


  • Dewey Mountain Recreation Center

    Dewey Mountain is a cross-country ski and snowshoe center by winter, great place to hike, bike, and play disk golf the rest of the year. Located 277 George H. LaPan Memorial Highway (State Route 3) 1 mile west of downtown Saranac Lake, NY. More info here:

  • Mt. Pisgah Recreation Center

    Mt Pisgah Rd, Saranac Lake, NY 12983 .

    Mt. Pisgah is an all season, family friendly mountain that's owned and operated by the Village of Saranac Lake with support from the Friends of Mount Pisgah.

    In the winter, Pisgah becomes a classic small-town Adirondack ski and snowboard hill. The mountain's six trails- one green circles, two blue square, and three blackdiamond- are all served by a single T-bar lift. The easy trails here are perfect for beginners of all ages to perfect their turns. Pisgah also has a tubing hill, snowshoeing trails, and a large base lodge. As it gets dark out early, night skiing, riding, and tubing is a popular attraction. More info here:
